Tyler Brown is the planting pastor of Great Exchange church. Being raised outside the church, he came to saving faith in Jesus during high school through the witness of a house church Bible study. After a career as a middle and high school English teacher (first in Smyrna and then in Philadelphia), he became a campus minister, joining InterVarsity staff in 2016. After nearly a decade serving students in parachurch ministry, he discerned God’s leading to see a local church planted at the intersection of the community and the campus.
Tyler holds a Master’s Degree in Biblical Studies from Reformed Theological Seminary, a Master’s Degree in School Leadership from Wilmington University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary English Education from the University of Delaware. He is married to Nicole, and they have six children: Isaac, Nya, Zechariah, Zipporah, Ezekiel, and Zwingli. Tyler loves rough-housing with his kids, reading, playing guitar, talking NBA, and exploring local cities.
